  • Fellow Africans, i bring you warm greetings from Sierra Lyo, the Lion Mountain.

I know this is a trying time for the world and especially our blessed continent.

Sadly, a thrill of alarm has ran through me as i watch several footages from the People's Republic of China relating to the inhuman treatment our African brothers and sisters have been subjected to in the past weeks

As one who strongly believes and upholds the spirit and principles of Africanism, one our forefathers fought for so hard, whenever I see such footages and photos trending on social media which is not making top headlines on BBC, CNN, FOX etc, it presents me a special meaning of my continent

For a continent and a people who have been so friendly and accommodative, the least we expect is mutual reciprocation.

I personally feel so betrayed by China, after opening our hands in a welcoming spirit and standing in solidarity with them in their hour of need in this onerous time, it is extremely shocking that Chinese people have now turned against Africans in their midst.

I have listened and read several articles from fellow global change agents around the world venting their reactions on the subject.

From my personal views, this is not the time to go to war (literal) with China as we have a global warfare (Covid-19) to fight and win.

These are not times for being emotional with anger
This is a time we must offload the African eurocentric mindset and purely cloth ourselves with the African Afrocentric mindset
We need to learn to stand together, work in uplifting ourselves first and figure out how we can better ourselves

The lessons of our history must unite us and teach us what we need as a continent
We must learn that African problems can only be solved by Africans

Our challenges from hundreds of years of slavery, colonialism, including those we are experiencing today are happening so we can learn and reshape ourselves for the future of this blessed continent.

To every African, Let us not lose sight of the enemy among us, we have to fight and defeat Coronavirus in Africa, and remember, it is we the citizens that have to make this happen, not just our leaders, it is everyone's responsibility to do their share so we win together.

To the people of China, remember that Africa have shown you huge solidarity at the most desperate moments you needed people to stand by you , when the country was u. deep crisis of Covid-19, even at a time when the US president, Donald Trump accused you of manufacturing the virus, calling it "Chinese virus" Africa sympathized with you, regarding Trump's statement as untrue

You must therefore not take our hospitality and solidarity for granted

We are all humans, like any other race, we deserve equal and fair treatment
Let us stand with one another especially in this trying time
Let us make the world a better place for all human races and then we can live together as different colors but one people

    Thank you all
